Clinical Problem Solvers website and podcast

This group of current residents and Attendings is primarily focused on the art and skill of clinical problem solving. Diagnostic problem solving is THE reason I love clinical medicine so I was super excited when I came across this website. This page has a wealth of interesting resources. It includes Diagnostic Schema (drawings and algorithms) on how to approach particular clinical problems with a s brief 8 minute or so video explaining the visual. They provide the schema in downloadable PDF formats. They provide clinical problem solving practice cases, a blog on current topics in clinical reasoning, a podcast, and a downloadable app. There is a lot to dig through with self assessment built in to the website. This is great for a premed since it does cover the basic science of clinical presentations (i.e. acid base physiology) but is most suitable to current medical students of all years.

Becoming You. (on Apple TV)

This is a series available on Apple TV. It follows the social and emotional development of children from age 0-5, including cross cultural differences and examples. Pre-motherhood I always found it difficult to remember what happens at what age of childhood since I had no experience in that realm. For those who are premed and “love children” this is a great insight into how little people become real people.
